Heidi Humphrey, Client Experience Director, The Private Client Reserve

Coming from a background in charitable fundraising and marketing, Heidi Humphrey found the transition to wealth management to be logical and rewarding. “Many of our clients are also passionate about philanthropy and very active in their communities, and so is U.S. Bank.”

With responsibility for The Reserve Experience, Heidi works closely with the leadership team, wealth management advisors, and the Voice of the Customer Office to further a client-centric culture. “I believe the client experience is the most important differentiator for us right now. It is about how we consistently deliver on our client promise which is to act in their best interests, consider their unique needs, listen, and offer customized products and services. “We are committed to constant improvement in the way we communicate, care, and listen to each other and our clients.”

Heidi joined U.S. Bank in 2008 and has over 18 years of wealth management marketing experience. Previously, she was a marketing manager at U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management. She began her career in philanthropy, as a charitable fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. She also has worked for The United Way and the Cowles Media Foundation in the Twin Cities.

Philosophy

Heidi’s approach to work is informed by a saying she learned from a valued mentor. “Show up and speak the truth. If you’re going to add value to an organization or to a client relationship, you have to be engaged and willing to advocate for what you believe is a useful or proper approach. That’s all part of being authentic with people.” With that philosophy in mind, Heidi is always looking for ways to enhance the client relationship, creating distinctive experiences and identifying more effective ways to communicate with clients.

Education and community involvement

Heidi graduated from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, with a Bachelor’s degree in history and communications. She has taken graduate courses at the University of St. Thomas master’s of business communication program. While a busy mother herself, Heidi is a volunteer for The Sanneh Foundation, a 501(c)3 youth development organization that provides life skills programs for at-risk children using soccer as the catalyst to empower kids, improve lives and unite communities.
