Astute and Vibrant Leadership
John Benevides provides vision, strategic and operational leadership in service to clients across the Eastern Region of The Private Client Reserve of U.S. Bank. As East Region President, his responsibilities include delivering integrated wealth management services on behalf of the bank’s high net worth clients and championing teams across the region as they engage with clients to help them work toward their goals.
John believes that a genuine personal interest, passion and unyielding commitment are cornerstones of a vibrant and trusted relationship. This professional philosophy and secret to success comes to life in his approach to guiding families and individuals who seek assistance in managing investments, philanthropic activities, estate and planning opportunities.
“I am deeply committed to building relationships in an atmosphere of trust,” he says. “This requires substantive energy, continued engagement and collaboration among teams and a purposeful approach to always do the right thing. At The Private Client Reserve, the integrity of leadership, the culture of the firm, the non-product orientation of advice and the focus on serving clients first is a rare combination in today’s marketplace.”
John leads The Reserve’s team servicing clients out of offices in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Louisville, Naples, Nashville, New York and Palm Beach.
John’s background includes more than 25 years of wealth management and financial services experience, most recently as president and CEO of CTC myCFO, an integrated wealth management provider and a subsidiary of the Bank of Montreal. He also directed the activities of BMO Delaware Trust Company and led the ultra-high-net-worth activities of BMO Harris Private Bank. Prior to that, he was co-owner and president of Family Office Exchange, where he guided the firm’s strategy, drove its growth and built out its differentiation in strategic research for wealthy families. John previously served as managing director of Financial Services for the publicly traded Corporate Executive Board (CEB).
